2022-23 Edmonton Federation Hockey League Referee Rates

Please refer to the 2022-2023 Edmonton Federation Hockey League Referee Rates for up to date rates on referee fees.

Referees in Chief are listed on the rate sheet. They would be the contacts you would use if you are required to reschedule referees for game changes.

Referee Fees

Teams are required to pay 50% of the referee fees at each game. Referees do not carry change, so be prepared to have the proper amount for payment.

U9 teams will pay $20 each for referees for some games, and $30 each for referees for some games. The $30 is paid when there is a referee being mentored for the game. Please ensure your coaches are prepared with either $20 or $30, as you will not have advanced knowledge of when you will have the extra referee.

Referee Fee Reimbursement

Teams may submit for referee fee reimbursements 3 times per season:

end of November for games in October and November
end of January for games in December and January
end of March for games in February and March, including playoffs *Note: the last reimbursement may be held until equipment and jerseys have been returned to EGHA at the end of the season

To submit a request for reimbursement, please have the Team Manager and/or Treasurer submit the Referee tab of the Team's Financial Statement. Please email that page to treasurer@egha.ab.ca and indicate if the payment should be sent by cheque (please provide a mailing address) or by etransfer (please provide the email address).
