Welcome 2017-2018 Bantam Girls!!
Your bantam category director for the 2017-18 season will be Paul Sopcak and Michael Mengel. You can contact us using the following email address - email@example.com
Player registration is open for 2017-2018
Registration is now open online for the upcoming season. Registration information is available here: http://www.egha.ab.ca/default.aspx?p=registrations or you can follow this direct link for online registration for new and returning players.
Coaches and Bench Staff
Registrations are completed with the linked google form now (http://www.egha.ab.ca/content/egha-coaches-corner), not through HCR. Any bench staff member or volunteer that requires a Criminal Reference check this season will get a direct email from EGHA giving them a link to complete the check online. All bench staff must also take the Respect in Sport Coach program (Click HERE for RiS Coach).
There is a new structure to the Elite division for Bantam hockey. Instead of the former EGHA AAA team, we now partner with the University of Alberta Pandas who manage the Bantam Elite team which will be operated under the Edmonton Female Athletic Club ( a partnership between EGHA, along with the U of A and Hockey Edmonton). Players who wish to play Elite still must first register with the Edmonton Female Athletic Club (http://www.efacpandas.com/) and if released then register with EGHA. Details are on the registration page http://www.egha.ab.ca/default.aspx?p=registrations. Players aspiring to the Elite team will receive direct communication from Edmonton Female Athletic Club about when and where try outs will be held.
Volunteer Commitment Policy
The policy has been updated this season. A tracking sheet has been created, and will be shared with the Team Managers of each team, as Team Managers will assist in updating this information for the Volunteer Coordinators. EGHA will not be collecting $100 deposits this season - instead, anyone who does not finish a volunteer commitment will have a $100 debit added to the HCR file.
Schedule for 2018-19 evaluations: You'll receive an email note as to which group you are assigned.
After skill skates, your daughter will be assigned to a scrimmage group - Blue, Green, or Red. The evaluation company will post to which group your daughter has been assigned on their website: www.hockeyevaluations.com. Groupings may change after each skate - you must check the website to verify your group. Please allow 24 hours for postings.
