Note for U9 and U11 players: U9 and U11 players will register with their home association for the season. The fees presented above are the EGHA registration fees. If your player will be trying out for the U9 or U11 Tier 1 teams, you will still register with EGHA, but a tryout registration with Edmonton Female Hockey Alliance (EFHA) will also be required. Registration for tryouts will start June 1 and can be found at www.hockeyedmonton.ca. Players who are successful in their tryout will have their registrations transferred to EFHA, and EFHA will arrange to collect differences in fees with the families. Players who are not successful in their tryouts will return to EGHA to start the evaluation process for team formation.
All U13 players (both community players and players trying out for the U13AA teams) will register with the Edmonton Female Hockey Alliance for the 2023/2024 season. Details will be available on hockeyedmonton.ca when they become available. Registration is expected to open closer to June 15. In the meantime, as U13 players will need to be transferred from EGHA to FHA, please complete the Intent to Register with FHA so that players can be transferred in advance of registration opening.
U9 and U11 players: new this season, U9 and U11 players will have the opportunity to tryout for the U9 Tier 1 and U11 Tier 1 teams hosted by the Edmonton Female Hockey Alliance. See below for registration details. U9 and U11 players who have registered with EGHA and plan on registering with FHA to tryout for the Tier 1 teams can also complete the Intent to Register with FHA so that FHA can start requesting shares of the HCR profiles of these players, which is a necessary step for the registration and tryout process. Please ensure you complete the registration process with EGHA and the registration process with FHA.
Female Junior B Division: EGHA is attempting to put together an all female Junior B division with our EFHL partners. At this time, we are accepting registrations with a $50 deposit. The actual registration fees will be set in the fall if we are able to move ahead with this program. If we are unable to go ahead with this program, the $50 deposit will be refunded. Questions about the Female Junior B division can be sent to mike.mccarthy@egha.ab.ca.
EGHA accepts payment by VISA, MasterCard, VISA and MasterCard debit, or by etransfer.
For all categories, EGHA offers a three-payment installment option for registration fees.

EGHA understands that some families receive funding from third-party organizations or financial assistance organizations. Families are still required to ensure payments are received by the applicable due dates noted above. If your funding does not cover the full installment, you are responsible to ensure the balance of the installment is paid in full. For families who are expecting payments from third-party programs, please select External Payment.
Families receiving financial assistance must notify the registrar of your approvals at registrar@egha.ab.ca.
Player registration fees cover fundamental player and team expenses such as:
All teams are required to create their own budget for the season. Each team's budget covers additional team-specific expenses that are not covered by EGHA Player Registration Fees. All players on the team are required to contribute additional cash, known as cash calls, to cover the approved budget. Players who do not cover their portion of team fees will not be eligible to participate in team activities that are paid for by team fees.
