Hello Peewee, Bantam and Midget Families,

EGHA is partnering with  for our peewee, bantam and midget players this season. This is a HIGHLY recommended  clinic, and all EGHA peewee, bantam and midget players will be encouraged to attend a clinic this season.
We will be offering 2 hour sessions that will teach the technique of contact, how to react to contact, how to be more aware on the ice and possibly some angling if time permits. These clinics are set up to help our players to be more aware, and hopefully to reduce injuries received in games. While EGHA participates in non-checking leagues, hockey is still a contact sport, and we want to ensure our players have the skills that will set them up for success.
Each player will require 2 hours of ice time for this clinic.
Clinic 1: 7:45pm-8:45, and 9:00-10:00pm, Saturday, September 7th, Confederation Arena
Clinic 2: 6:15-7:15pm, Thursday, September 12th, Meadows Arena and 12:45-1:45pm, Sunday, September 15th, Russ Barns
Clinic 3: 2:00-4:15pm, Sunday, September 15th, Russ Barnes.
All peewee teams will be scheduled as a team after team formation has been completed, starting at the end of September. Peewee players will not sign up for a clinic.
For bantam and midget players, we would like to take the opportunity to use ice we have available to us in September, and will be opening the clinics up for anyone in bantam and midget to register for these sessions. This is also a great way to get some time on the ice before evaluations start!
Bantam and midget players will find clinics at this link: 2019 EGHA Contact Clinics (Bantam and Midget). There are currently three clinics you can register for, and further sessions will be added as we have them scheduled. Sign up early as these sessions will fill up fast!
The cost of this clinic is $0 for this season, while we evaluate the success of the program. However, please ensure you register for a session that you can attend. If you register and do not attend the clinic, the team that you are rostered to may be fined $25 as a no-show fee.
Any questions about this program can be referred to development@egha.ab.ca.
